    We are group number two and we have modified the game solitaire. The set up for our version of the game is the same as normal solitaire the players are allowed to have two discard piles. The player can then use the top card from either pile. This allows for more strategy, having the option to choose which discard pile, as well as giving the player a higher chance of completing the game.

     Our target audience are players that are new to the game of solitaire as we are ourselves. The rule of the second discard pile is easy enough for new players to understand and it allowed for more options. We found that in our version, as beginners, we became less frustrated and were more likely to play again.

    All of our tasks were completed when we were able to. One issue we faced was that I was out with an illness for over a week. This caused us to lack the self play testing of our game early on. We managed to take the advice from our first official play test and make a stronger version. In the future or if we had the chance I would definitely do more self play testing early on.

 Jacob Meddings Group 7 Rule Sheet 2 ePortfolio Post 3      Our game for this project is an educational space game targeted towards 6 to 12 year old's. To start our designing process, my partner and I did a brainstorming session to come up with the basics of our game. We fairly quickly came up with a game that includes a board with stars and planets that the players move between. The board will be our solar system. Our next question was how do we make it educational? We came up with the idea to implement trivia cards that the players must get correct to advance. Each planet will have a stack of cards, when a player lands on the planet they must pick a card and answer it correctly to advance. We wrote down our notes as we brainstormed and even drew out a very rough board so that we could visualize it.
